BASIC TERMS:
All items listed are certified to date between 1870 - 1930 unless otherwise stated. Please have a browse on my ebay store as well.
All items come from a smoke & pet free business.
All items are photographed with a chocolate brown background, to help show detailing on the lace etc.
All items are fully laundered.
Some creasing may occur due to photographing and posting.
All descriptions are as accurate as possible, if you have any queries, please email us we would be happy to assist.
We will only post to a confirmed PayPal address.
Postage is based on UK only.

Making a purchase
Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished shopping, click on 'checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need in order to complete your order.
Catalogue prices
Prices are retail. They are all inclusive of tax but due to our Company's specific tax regulations, tax cannot be substracted from invoices for professionnal wholesalers.
Item Description
Items are described as honestly and representatively as we can. We pride ourselves on our accurate descriptions of our fine linen items specially with 25 years of experience in this field. We have a large regular clientele entirely satisfied with our service.
Measurements are as accurate as possible but approximation has to be allowed for textiles with folds and which are stretchy and not always square ! Fabric content description is 99% guaranteed. There are endless varieties of content, types, quality, distinguishing features, and condition which would be complicated for even the most experienced of connoisseurs. Each item has an indication of how old it is, and antiques are estimated using international Customs' rules and codes. In the extremely rare event of an error occuring, we can refund your money including shipping and this both ways. No pets, no smoker environment.
Acceptance by the Client of the Terms & Conditions
When you confirm your order, this indicates you have read our terms of sale, thus constituting acceptance of all these terms of sale.
Receipt of Order Confirmation
When you receive a confirmation of order receipt, this is to indicate that we have safely received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and a contract will exist between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this clause to protect us in certain cases : items no longer available (for whatever reason such as damage during storage etc..., daily stock update ...), payment not received in time, payment means not reliable, shipment difficulties with certain countries....and, for any other reason in general. In such an event, we will email you with our decision. Please note, that for unique items, there can be no substitution of an item.
Postage & Packaging Costs
United Kingdom rates apply and must be met by the buyer : no handling or packaging cost will be added. Each parcel is carefully packaged to withstand transportation. Each item is wrapped in acid-free tissue paper and wrapped carefully. The parcel will be sent by registered post, with signature upon delivery and all proof of consignment will be retained. We do not use any economy postal service as it has been proven to be a loss and theft risk.
Delivery times given are average and do not constitute a contract. According to the rules of the business, we cannot be held responsible in the event of accident/ loss/ damage,...
Shipment
All shipments are made within 2 working days. No shipments will be made prior to payment. We always inform you by email of the day on which the shipment has been made. We do ship internationnally and if your country is not listed in our postage costs rate list, please enquire.
Payment
1. Pay Pal : just follow the pages of our website. If you are given a French login page and prefer an English language one, please ask us to send you a payment request. 5% surcharge fees applies with Paypal payments.
2. For other types of payment, please send us an email to inform us of your payment method. Payments should be received within 10 days of order completion and can be made as follows :
GPB : Bank transfers, Postal Orders, cash.
Bank transfer fees are made at the client's expense.
Import
Each client's country has its own taxes regulations for VAT and Customs' duties, so please check with your local office to enquire as to their rates and regulations. Naturally, all such consumption and import taxes are to be paid by the client and import procedures & checks must be made by him/her.
Delivery
Items will be delivered to the address indicated at the ordering stage.. If the client is absent, a slip will be left by the postman in your post-box informing that you have 14 days to retrieve the package. Past this time period, the package will be returned to our company and you will have to pay the postage cost again for the package to be shipped once more. Please check if you can be available at the scheduled delivery time and inform us of possible addressees. We can also keep your parcels aside waiting for you to give your go-ahead. We cannot be held responsible for any delays incurred. We draw your attention to the fact that at certain periods of the year the indicated delivery time will not be possible due to increased load or difficult conditions : : for example Christmas, bad weather, etc... Fortunately, these occur very rarely and we would ask for your understanding..
Returns Policy
Customers have the right to return an item to the seller up to 7days after receipt. In such an event, simply inform us of the cancellation within 48h of receipt (explaining why you return the goods) and return the items in the same condition in which you received them -naturally not worn or used- together with all of the relevant documents, packaging etc...(same way you got it with invoice outside for non-EC customers). The aforementioned must be returned by registered post. In such an event, only the purchase price shall be refunded.
Liability
We are not liable for the following :
- misuse or damage sustained by persons or goods by using our items
- delivery delays
- incorrect information submitted by clients
- any consequence of import transaction
Warranty
Each article is sold "As described". As textile durability depends partly on how it is used, we cannot make any warranty. Please carefully read each description as the product's condition is fully indicated and will help you to know what to expect from the product.
Your privacy
Any information requested of you will be kept uniquely for our unique requirements which relate to fine linen purchases only. We do not disclose the buyer's information to third parties other than when order details are processed as part of the order fulfilment. In this case, the third party will not disclose any of the details to any other third party. Cookies are used on this shopping site to keep track of the contents of your shopping cart, to store the delivery address if the address book is used and to store your details if you select the "remember me" option.
